Its super random. But the story is that last year i took Chinese for my college language credit, which sounds cool but it ended up being kind of awful. The professor didn’t know how to teach it well and had very high expectations. Anyway she had us holding online conversations with students in China, would have been great if we knew any Chinese. We ended up using a Chinese translator the whole time. (which i also used for half of my homework too.) This means our grammar was terrible but we were at least able to say things other than “how are you?” I was messing around with the translator and incorrectly entered my Chinese name into the translator and got “Mahmoud Trees.” I liked it because it was so completely random, the combination of the two words— and because its sort of a name, i thought i would keep it and save it for the internet.

The story ends well, with me passing the class quite brilliantly though i’m not absolutely sure how—I SHOULD HAVE FAILED, but i’m quite sure she curved the whole classes grades, because i was doing as poorly/well as everyone in the class. I no longer know any Chinese (so don’t ask me anything), though of course i wish i did, which in retrospect is unfortunate because that’s why i joined the class, it would have been cool to know it.

I simplified the form of the male body and then i simplified line into shape. It looks like cut outs, but it’s pastels. I decided to make the behind image a desert. I have always liked the desert because its solitary.

Blue. Like everyone else. But i think it’s calm and I like to wear it because it matches my eyes and makes my pale skin more exciting.

In my spare time, I’m not exciting. Aside from the internet. I like to watch shows, listen to music, I like to make art and sing. I have friends, they’re pretty cool. Um… Activities. 

And that… is my snarky face.
